Cydney T. Flowers

VOCAL COACH

Cydney T. Flowers is a native daughter of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  The East Baton Rouge Public School System formed the setting for the securing of her formal education. This admirable young lady completed her secondary education at the renowned and historic McKinley Senior High School where she was a vibrant soprano in the school’s chorale. Her progressive persona led to Cydney becoming the founder and CEO of C.T. Flowers Music Company, LLC which has become known for its perpetuation of the arts in the Baton Rouge community and beyond. This talented artist has been singing publicly since the age of three and has exhibited an undisputed passion and love for music and the humanities.
Cydney was awarded the Bachelor of Music from Southern University and A&M College. During her matriculation at Southern University, she was able to be successful in the enhancing of her knowledge and understanding in the rudiments and performance of music. She was an integral part of the Southern University Concert Choir and her professional involvements  encompassed a lifelong membership in Mu Phi Epsilon International Professional Music Fraternity, Inc., where she served as Chaplain. This unforgettable young professional is the Minister of Music at New Sunlight Church in Baton Rouge, La, where she has served for more than 5 years. Additionally, she is the musician at the Ebenezer Baptist Church of Baton Rouge. Her vocal expertise has afforded her the opportunity to sing the National Anthem for many LSU sporting events such as Softball, Baseball, Basketball and Volleyball games as well as Baton Rouge Community College, Southern University Football game, and The National Black Rodeo. She was featured in the New Venture Theater’s “One Night Only; A Lady in Red” tribute. 
Cydney has sung background vocals for countless national recording artists such as Charles Jenkins, Ted Winn, JJ. Hairston, Todd Galberth, Erica Campbell, Vashawn Mitchell, Marvin Sapp, LaShun Pace and Chrystal Rucker. Ms. Flowers is currently employed at Forest Heights Academy of Excellence as the Vocal Music Teacher where she enjoys teaching children.
